How to choose and match the electric motor speed?

Motor performance selection requires consideration of electric motor power, rated voltage, and torque.

Different rated speeds can be selected and combined with the variable speed system for a comprehensive comparison to determine the appropriate speed transmission ratio and rated speed of the induction motor from the aspects of economy, reasonableness, and reliability.

For frequent starting, braking, and forward and reverse operation but not long-term work, the transition process should be focused on according to the principle of less energy loss.

The speed transfer ratio and rated speed of the motor should be selected accordingly.

For the condition of frequent starting and braking, forward and reverse rotation, and high operation efficiency requirements, the transition time should be strictly controlled.

The induction motor speed can be selected based on the principle of minimum value of GD2.ne2 which is proportional to the kinetic energy storage of the system and speed transmission ratio.
